Kathy and Collin Northshore Tahoe- June 2010

Thai Ceremony
Kathy and Colin kneel next to each other on special rod-nam pedestals with their
palms pressed together in the
traditional prayer-like gesture called wai.

Kathy and Colin are anointed with three marks on their forehead, made with sachet powder.

Each will wear a malai – a lei of flowers.

Two circles of woven thread,
called sai mongkol, are
placed one on each partner’s head and
linked in the middle by a single thread,
forming a bond, which
connects the couple and
symbolizes their spiritual union.

Guests are invited to
offer blessings of lifelong happiness, good luck, and
other auspicious wishes, while
pouring lustral water from the sang (conch shell)
over the couple’s hands.

Press on Twin Soup

We were flattered to have our opening announced on Twin Soups website. The article is very cute and explains how we are different yet offer the same services as other florists.  We just want to be a little unique and offer a bit more unique designs that convey the right message.
